Biography: As a National Board Certified Career and Technical Education Teacher and advocate for industry representatives, she facilitates opportunities to bring awareness to education and business sectors, sharing ways to collaborate and develop programs where content and field experience answer the “Why?” for student inquiry of professional relevance. She brings a host of experience crossing industry and educational platforms. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina A&T State University, she developed a passion for bridging educational experience and corporate relevance. Her professional background encompasses engineering design, project management, divestiture planning, business and operations management, entrepreneurship and post secondary education. Her extensive background has created partnerships that are excited about bridging gaps that challenge industry and aspiring professionals. Her proven strategies pinpoint barriers that lead to lower test scores, non-achieved goals and acceptance of glass ceiling opportunities. Through ACT data analysis, she is committed to targeting untapped audiences of Title I high school students. Her current position allows her to facilitate the education and implementation of business processes and strategies to support the educational systems’ initiative to prepare students for a successful post secondary experience.Through the accumulation of these experiences, she supports corporate and educational vision, “to assist in providing rigorous, real-world learning experiences and meaningful connections between students and staff in order to prepare them for advancement in college, career and life.”
